Recent winner from Four Tet, "Love Cry" gets the remix treatment by two stalwarts of the current future beats scene. Joy Orbison deploys his unique formula to the tune by stretching out the sounds into euphoric, ascending drones, climaxing with huge bass drops and a scatty rhythm. Orbison is, in my book, the new Burial in the way he manipulates vocal samples, turning them into teasing electronic textures full of sonic loveliness; making them squeal and whine like robots... absolute genius.
